McPeak named MIAA Track Athlete of the Week

Overland Park, Kan. -- Missouri Southern runner Ryan McPeak has been named the MIAA Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the League office today.

McPeak, a 5'11 sophomore from Joplin and College Heights Christian High School, ran a 48.94 in the 400m dash in the Pittsburg State University Wendy's Open this past weekend defeating teammate Marcus Walton by 18 hundredths of a second to win the event.

McPeak and the Lions will be be back in action on March 30 when Southern hosts the Track and Field Festival at Hughes Stadium.
