2005-06: Football -
Played and started at cornerback in nine of the Lions' 10 games ... finished
sixth on the team with 45 total tackles and also had one interception which he
returned 75 yards to set up the team's second touchdown of the season in a 38-21
win at Ouachita Baptist (Ark.) ... was named to the MIAA Commissioner's Academic
Honor Roll for football ... Track - Ran the 60-meter dash and
200-meter dash for the Lions in 2006 during the indoor season ... had the team's
best time in 2006 indoor season in the 60-meter dash (7.13 seconds in the MIAA
Indoor Championships preliminaries) ... his season-best in the 200 also came in
the MIAA preliminary round, a time of 22.97 seconds.
2004-05: Football -
Finished fourth on the MSSU football team in tackles (55), led the team with
three fumble recoveries and tied for team-high honors with three fumbles forced
and three interceptions ... Track: Finished seventh in the MIAA in the
200-meter dash at the conference indoor championships ... also ran the 60-meter
dash and helped the mile relay squad to a third-place conference finish (All-MIAA)
and a school record (3:22.62, at Univ. of Arkansas) ... outdoors, helped the
4x400-meter relay team to a fourth-place conference finish ... also competed in
the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes and 4x100-meter relay ... named to the MIAA
Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.
2003-04: Earned All-MIAA honors in the 2004 outdoor season with
a third place finish as part of the 4x400-meter relay (3:18.62) ... had
five of the Lions seven best times of the outdoor season in the 100-meter
dash and 200-meter dash ... his best clockings were 11.08 in the 100 and
22.37 in the 200, both at the John McDonnell Invitational ... indoors, he
posted the Lions top two times of the year in the 60-meter dash (6.99 and
7.00) in the prelims and semifinals at the MIAA Championships in Joplin
... missed the conference finals in the 60 meters by one-hundredth of a
second ... also had four of the team's best times of the season in the 200,
including the best mark (22.66) at the KU Relays.
In high school: Participated in track & field, basketball
and football for the Winfield High School Vikings ... set the school 100-meter
dash record with a time of 10.7 seconds.
Personal: A kinesiology major ... born Feb. 26, 1984 in Winfield,
Kan. ... son of Edward and Melody Manga.
