Lions named fourth seed in NCAA Division II Central Regional

Indianapolis, Ind.
- The Missouri Southern golf team will be the fourth seed in the upcoming NCAA Division II Central/Great Lakes Super Regional to be played in Findlay, Ohio at Red Hawk Run Golf Club.

Southern is in the regional for the sixth year in a row. The Lions were the third seed last year when the team hosted the event at Twin Hills CC. Southern finished second last year, behind Washburn.

The Lions finished in third place this season in the MIAA and were led by All-MIAA golfers David Eddy and Seve Smith. Ben Perry earned honorable mention All-MIAA honors.

The Super Regional consists of the top eight teams from the Central and the Great Lakes Regions.  The top five individuals in the region not on those teams selected will also participate in the event.  In all, 90 golfers will tee it up during the tournament which begins with a practice round on May 4.

While two regions compete at each Super Regional site, they do not necessarily compete against each other.
