Ben Perry Picks up MIAA Golfer of the Week Honors

Kansas City, Mo. - After a fifth place finish from senior Ben Perry at the Red River Intercollegiate hosted by East Central University at Winstar Country Club, the Missouri Southern senior has been named the MIAA Golfer of the Week as announced by the league office today.

Perry, a graduate of Lee's Summit North High School, shot a four-over 76 in his first round, but came back with a two-under, 70 in the second round and a four-under 68 to finish seven strokes off the lead score and two under par for the tournament.

The Lions finished in fifth place for the tournament, 20 strokes off the team champion, Northeastern State.

Southern is off this week for Spring Break, but will be back in action on March 24 and 25 traveling to Warrensburg to take part in the Central Missouri Invitational at Pertle Springs GC.
