FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 5, 2007 Lions finish 11th at Missouri Intercollegiate Complete Results JOPLIN, Mo. - The Missouri Southern golf team finished 11th out of 18 teams today at the Missouri Intercollegiate held at The Club at Porto Cima in Sunrise Beach, Mo. The Tournament pits every four-year golf playing school in the state with the exception of the University of Missouri. Southern sophomore David Eddy paced the Lions with a three-round score of 235 (76-81-78) to finish tied for 29th. Sophomore Adam Nelson shot a 237, while freshmen Seve Smith and Jamie Voegeli had a 239 and 249, respectively. Junior David Clark finished the day with a three-round score of 256. The University of Missouri-Kansas City won the event with a three-round score of 883 for a 19 over par. Missouri State was second with a 32 over par 896. Central Missouri, Drury and Lindenwood round out the top five team scores. Missouri State's Jay McBride was the individual medalist shooting a two-under 214 (73-70-71) to finish three strokes in front of second place, Alex Hogben of UMKC. Hogben shot a 217 while teammate Neil Horsley shot a 220. Missouri Western's Aaron Lisenbee and UMKC's Jordan Miller finished tied for fourth. The Lions will now prepare for the Truman State Invitational on September 17 and 18.
