FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 20, 2007 Clifford shoots second round one under and finishes second at Arkansas Tech Classic Complete Results Danville, Ark. - Missouri Southern senior Tommy Clifford shot a second round, one under par 71 to finish second at the Arkansas Tech University Classic today. Clifford rebounded from a day one 76 to shoot just one off of the low round for the tournament. Clifford finished six shots off of the leader, Justin Yoder of Central Missouri. Yoder shot a two day, three under par, 141. Scott Gennoway of Arkansas Tech, and Matt Lazzo of Washburn both tied with Clifford for second, while Arkansas Tech's Jared Carlyle and Luke Calcatera were fifth with a 148. Central Missouri won the team title, finishing five strokes in front of the host school Arkansas Tech. Cameron, Washburn and Southern rounded out the top five in team competition. The Lions finished with a two day total of 603. Southern's Adam Nelson and Eric Byers finished 17th and 18th with a 151 and 152, respectively. Tyler Goecker and Cory Clingan were tied for 25th with a 155, while Ben Perry was 32nd with a 158. Southern will be back in action next week when they travel to the Washburn University Invitational on March 26-27. |
