Plocher earns MIAA Athlete of the Week Award

Junior led MSSU at Arkansas Invitational

Junior Lucas Plocher (West Plains, Mo.) led the Missouri Southern men’s cross country team on Friday at the season-opening University of Arkansas Fayetteville Invitational. As a result, Plocher was named the Wilson/MIAA Athlete of the Week for men’s cross country on Tuesday.

Plocher finished the 6400-meter course in 21:32.40 and placed eighth as the Lions finished second to the NCAA Division I Razorbacks. The time was 15 seconds faster than his previous best on the Arkansas course.
