Titsworth, Cox named Honorable Mention All-MIAA

Overland Park, Kan. -  Stanley Titsworth (Muskogee, Okla.) and Deonte Cox (St. Louis, Mo.) were both named honorable mention All-MIAA as voted on by the coaches of the League.

Cox, a 6'8 forward, has led the Lions in scoring this year, averaging 13.7 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game. He shot 58 percent from the field, which is currently third in the MIAA, one percent behind Pittsburg State's Ed Morris.

He scored 20 points five times this year, including 23 against Rockhurst, and was in double figures in all but six games. He also hit a game-winning bucket to upset, then 11th ranked Northwest Missouri State at home.

Titsworth, in his first full year as a Lion, averaged 10.8 points per game, while shooting 39 percent from long range, including a team-leading 32 three pointers. The 6-3 guard scored 23 points in a win over then 22nd ranked West Texas A&M earlier in the season. He scored 20 points three times and was in double-figures 13 times this season.

The Lions will open up the first round of the MIAA Tournament this Thursday, March 1 at noon against No 1 seed and 13th ranked Northwest Missouri in Municipal Auditorium.
