Southern men sign second Clarendon player

April 20, 2005

Missouri Southern head men's basketball coach Robert Corn has announced that a second Clarendon (Texas) College player will transfer to MSSU and play basketball with the Lions in the 2005-06 season.

Ed Miles, a 6-foot-5 forward, averaged 19 points and seven rebounds per game in 2004-05 in leading the Bulldogs to a 15-15 record. He shot 40 percent from three-point range and made 76.5 percent at the foul line.

Miles is a junior college teammate of Stanley Titsworth, who signed with the Lions during the November early signing period. Titsworth, a Muskogee, Okla. native, averaged 14 points and five rebounds per game this past season.

Miles, from Dallas, Texas, was also named to the all-region team. Both he and Titsworth were selected for all-conference honors.
