Short-handed Lions fall at Central Missouri State

WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- A short-handed Missouri Southern team, playing without two injured
starters, dropped a 79-52 decision at Central Missouri State. The defeat marked the fourth loss in
five games for the Lions.

Southern shot a season-low 34.7 percent from the field and also had season-low marks of 14.3
percent shooting from three-point range, two made three pointers and 31 total rebounds.

The Mules jumped to a 20-4 lead in the game s first seven-plus minutes and Southern was never
able to recover. MSSU did trim the margin to 12 points late in the first half and had it down to 11
early in the second.

The Lions got 14 points each from senior Jeremie Bond, who made 4-of-6 from the field and
6-of-8 at the foul line, and junior Myron Hodge , who was 6-for-10 from the field. Senior Dan Jones
added 10 points and a team- and career-high four assists for the Lions.
