Lions football add another junior college recruit

Joplin, Mo.
-- The Missouri Southern State University football team has announced the signing of another junior college transfer who will join the team for the spring semester.

Antwan Dyer, a 6-1, 230-pound junior defensive end played at Tyler (Texas) Junior College.  Dyer was an honorable mention All-Southwest Junior College Football Conference selection last season.  Lions head coach Bart Tatum likes Dyer s versatility.   He s a good guy for us in that we have an immediate need at linebacker as well as at defensive end with the loss of Devin Rutledge,  said Tatum.   He s big enough and physical enough to play end or inside linebacker.  He s a nice hybrid-type kid for us.

Dyer joins Clint Hooper (6-6, 310 OL), Aaron Hunter (6-2, 310 OL), Kharee Louis-Jean (6-2, 320, OL), and Eddie Gilmore (5-9, 200 DB) who signed with the Lions yesterday.  The Lions finished the 2006 campaign with a 5-6 record.
