Adam Hinspeter named Wilson/MIAA Offensive Player of the Week

Overland Park, Kan. -- After throwing three touchdowns on 28-34 passing and 234 yards in a 31-26 win over visiting Central Missouri, sophomore quarterback Adam Hinspeter has been named the Wilson/MIAA Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office today. Hinspeter shared the honor this week with Pittsburg State's Germaine Race.

Hinspeter, a 6-5 native of Centralia, MO and graduate of Centralia HS, has thrown 141 consecutive passes without an interception, which is the Southern school record and is currently the longest active streak in the MIAA. He has 14 career games with 200 or more yards and is just three from that school record.

Hinspeter has thrown for 300 or more yards three times in his career, just three off the school record and his 187 pass completions this year is fourth-best in a single season at Southern. His 1,905 yards is seventh-best.

Hinspeter and Southern will be back on the road this weekend traveling to Fort Hays State for a 2 p.m. start this Saturday.
