Game one Box Score | Game Two Box Score

Lawton, Okla.
- The Missouri Southern baseball team ran into a hot hitting Cameron Aggie squad today and dropped both ends of a double-header. Game one was 12-5, while game two was 14-2.

The Lions (1-4) had their chances today, but couldn't drive home the critical runs, leaving 13 runners on base. Southern, however, did show an offensive outburst in the first game, scoring five runs in the seventh.

With one out, Derek Ezell reached on an error and moved to third on an double from catcher Alec French. Skyler Rawlins followed that up with a double of his own scoring Ezell and moving French up to third. Juan Hernandez and Cliff Wheeler earned back-to-back walks to score French. Kenny Hart then became the third walk in a row scoring Rawlins. After a ground out, Fernando Lugo singled up the middle to score both Wheeler and Hernandez.

Seven Lions had a hit each, while Lugo drove in two. Mantle, French and Rawlins had a double in the game.

The Aggies (6-2) scored nine runs over the first four innings and added three in the sixth.

Game two started out much the same for the Lions as Cameron scored in their first five innings, with a run each in the first and second, two in the third and six in the fourth to go up 10-1. The Aggies added four more in the sixth.

Southern's two runs came in the third and fifth. CJ Matthews drove in Lugo in the third, while Hart singled home Wheeler in the fifth.

Gabe Wyatt led the Lions in game two with a 3-3 day at the plate. Both Wheeler and Lugo had two hits in the game.

Cameron had four home runs on the day, three coming in game two.

The Lions will be back in action on Tuesday, February 19 when they play host to Missouri S&T (formerly Missouri-Rolla) in a double-header at Joe Becker Stadium beginning at 1 pm.
