Sculpture/foundry: modeling, carving, wood and metal fabrication,
welding, casting. Furnace and crucibles for casting bronze or aluminum, some metal
cutting equipment, a sandblasting cabinet, and welding equipment
including an oxy/ace torch, 5 stick welders and a plasma torch. For woodworking: band and scroll saws,
sander, jointer, planer, mitre box saw, table saw--all with a sawdust
ventilation system, and multiple
hand tools. |

Studio Art: The degree program with studio emphasis prepares you to pursue a career as a fine artist or to study for an advanced degree. You may specialize in any studio area - painting, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, drawing, watercolor or printmaking. Art Education: So you have always wanted to teach your love of visual art. Art education is the path to choose. Many art education programs require your education courses with few studio art classes. MSSU art education graduates become well prepared as artists/educators. |
