Each Summer, MSSU art majors are given a chance to travel and study in Europe and Scandinavia for five weeks while earning six hours of college credit.

This program is made possible by the K. L. Hyde Foundation Scholarship Fund. Those art majors accepted into the program receive a scholarship that equals approximately one half of the cost of the trip. The travel agenda varies each year but usually consists of visits to museums and galleries in cities such as Paris or London, Brussels, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo.

Between these weekend trips, the group is home based at a Folkhögskola in the scenic village of Mullsjö, located in the center of Southern Sweden. The group uses the Folkhögskola facilities and art studios to study art, reflect on recent travels and plan new adventures.  Day trips are taken to historic Ryfors, Habo, Jönköping and the crystal factories of Orrefors and Kosta Boda. The students return home with an expanded view of the world, its inhabitants
