Southern Welcome

New Student Orientation Program

Southern Welcome is the umbrella

for all new student orientation programs. The orientation program is geared toward preparing students for a successful transition to the MSSU campus. It offers students the opportunity to:

Group of Students
  • meet and interact with academic advisors who will assist the student to enroll in classes
  • get an overview of various of student support services
  • meet with other incoming students
  • address any financial aid concerns
  • process their student ID card
  • have the chance to have any questions or concerns addressed.

We host two different programs. Please select the appropriate program you need to attend:

a) Freshman Southern Welcome and b) Transfer and Former Students Southern Welcome

At the end of the program, students would feel a sense of relief as they will have most of all the things and information they need to start school.
Students will make new friends with both current and incoming students making their transition easier. They will know who to contact and where to go to have different needs met.
The Southern Welcome team made up of staff and student leaders are looking forward to meeting you.
