Earlene Fort Biographical Information
Earlene Fort became Administrative Assistant to Public Information Office at Missouri Southern State University in August 1991, after serving two years as student assistant.
She earned an Associate of Science in General Business degree from Missouri Southern State University in 1991. At Missouri Southern, Earlene became department typesetter and continued training in other areas of publication design and production. The name of the department was changed from Public Information Office to University Relations & Marketing in 2008.
She was President of the first organization of the Future Secretaries Association in Joplin at Franklin Technical School, 1979-1980. Prior to MSSU, she was rental manager and secretary at Wininger Real Estate for seven years. She also served as Secretary of the Joplin Area Advertising Federation.
As a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Carl Junction, for 27 years, she is involved in several programs, such as, Praise & Worship team, Women’s Ministries Leader, Discipleship Outreach, Van ministry, Breakfast for Kids ministry. She also teaches two classes, Sunday School Preschool and Stars Club for girls.
She and her husband, David, are the parents of three grown children, Michelle, Shawna and Serenity and they have four grandchildren.
