Selecting the perfect college for you is an exciting process of discovery. The best way to find the "right match" is to visit the campus (map/directions) and experience a typical day, meet faculty and students, and learn about the opportunities offered.

There are several ways to get acquainted with Southern. 

 

You are invited to view our online campus tour at YOUniversity.com
Regular weekday tours during the spring and fall semesters begin August 24th 2009  and run through May 15th, 2010. (tours not offered during Christmas break and Spring Break).  In order to schedule appointments with faculty and staff, the Admissions'  office requests one week advance notice of your tour date. Thank you.  
  • 9:30 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday
  • 10:00 am Monday, Wednesday and Friday
  • 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.   
  • Check in location: Hearnes Hall - Rm 109. Sign Up. 

These visits include:

  • A campus tour given by a current student.
  • The opportunity to speak to an admission counselor about admission requirements and financial aid.
  • A chance to speak with a member of our faculty in your area of interest.  
  • Dorms are included in the regular weekday tours from August 24th through May 15th.

                         

You can also schedule a visit for the first Saturday of every month, except during a holiday weekend.  They begin at 9:30 am in the Admissions Office in Hearnes Hall - Room 109.   An admission counselor will be available to answer your questions about admission requirements and financial aid, however faculty members will not be available. Saturday tour dates include December 5th 2009, February 6, 2010, March 6, 2010, April 3, 2010, or May 1, 2010.

Summer Tours: In June, July and August, tours are available at 10 am, Monday through Thursday. Schedule a regular campus tour

Discover Missouri Southern at 'Discovery Days'

Finding the perfect university is an exciting process of discovery. Visiting our campus and experiencing a typical day is the best way to discover if we are the right match for you.  Please select the option that best suits your needs and complete the appropriate online reservation form.

 

Transfer students are invited to learn more about Missouri Southern, apply for admission and (possibly) stay for Southern Welcome for Transfer Students during our  Discovery Day for Transfers on April 21, 2010. Click here for more information and reservations.

 

Future Lions Day - Join Admission's counselors on Saturday, January 16, 2010 for a free Lion basketball game and lunch!  Enjoy watching exciting basketball action as the MSSU Lions host the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks in the Leggett and Platt Athletic Center.  Click here to reserve your spot.

 

Honors Discovery Day - Monday, January 18th, 2010.  Future students with ACT composite scores above 27 or with a high rank in their graduating class are invited to attend the Honors Discovery Day.  In addition to the regular Discovery Day activities, you will learn about Honors scholarships, requirements and deadlines. Fine Arts Day - Friday, February 19th, 2010 - Registration begins at 9:00am in the Bud Walton Black Box Theatre.  If you have an interest in music, theatre or art, this is your day!  Not only will you have the chance to audition for scholarships; you can schedule to have your portfolio reviewed.  You can also tour campus, visit with faculty and discover financial aid opportunities.
