Discovery Days are a wonderful way to
find out if Missouri Southern is right for you. Our
Discovery Days are set up with your interests in
mind. During your discovery day visit, you can meet
faculty from your area of interest, tour campus, receive information on
financial aid and scholarships, and/or select the
style of dorm right for you. Parents are invited to
attend special 'breakout' sessions set up them. Discovery Day dates
for the 2008-2009 school year are:
- 9/24/2008 Criminal Justice Career Day.
Check-in is located at the Mills Anderson Justice Center
Lobby (map) at
10:00 am. Criminal Justice and Prelaw advisors will be
on hand to explain our programs and answer your
questions. Also, representatives from federal,
state and local agencies, including the FBI, Secret
Service and ATF will be available to answer questions
about career opportunities for MSSU graduates. Lunch

- 10/17/2008 Discovery Day. Check-in will be at
Mills Anderson Justice Center Lobby (map)
at 9:00am. This day will include a campus tour,
time to visit with faculty or discuss financial aid
questions with a fin/aid advisor. This is also your
chance to see the dorms and find out more about campus
life at MSSU. Lunch will be provided.

- 11/7/2008 Health Care Professions Discovery Day.
This day is your chance to find out whether a career in
health care is right for you. You will have an
opportunity to meet representatives from such fields as
paramedics, EMTs, respiratory therapy, nursing,
radiology technology, medical technology, health
promotion and wellness, and dental hygiene. While you
are here, you can take a campus tour, check out campus
housing and talk to a financial aid advisor.

- 02/20/2009 - Fine Arts Discovery Day. This
day is set up for those interested in music, band, art,
or theatre. In addition to the usual Discovery Day
activities, scholarship auditions and portfolio reviews

- 04/17/2009 Junior Discovery Day. It's never
too early to start investigating the college that's
right for you. Students in the Junior year of high
school can use this chance to get a introduction to
campus life. as well as degree programs, scholarships
and financial aid. Check-in will be at Mills Anderson

at 9:00am. Tour campus, visit with faculty or an
financial aid advisor, or pick out the type of dorm room
best for you. Lunch will be provided.

For student interested in transferring to MSSU we offer Transfer Information Program for Success. TIPS
are dates set up throughout the school year that allow a
prospective transfer students from other colleges to receive
information on financial aid, transferring college credit,
and visit with our faculty.For the 2008-2009 school year,
TIPS dates are October 22, 2008 and March 11, 2008. Click here for more info and

during the spring and fall semesters are (September through

advance notice of your tour date. Thank you.

You can also schedule a visit for the first Saturday of every month, except during a holiday weekend.
They begin at 9:30 am in the Admissions Office in Hearnes
Hall - Room 109. An admission counselor will be available to answer your questions about admission requirements and financial aid, however faculty members will not
be available.
