Description

The School Leadership Licensure Assessment (SLLA) is for:  Principals, Special Education Directors, and Vocational Directors.  The test code for SLLA is (1 1010).

The School Leaders Licensure Assessment was developed to provide a thorough, fair, and carefully validated assessment for states to use as part of the licensure process for principals, superintendents, and school leaders.  These assessment instruments reflect the most current research and professional judgment and experience of educators across the country.  The test is based on both a national job analysis study and a set of standards for school leaders identified by the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium.

 

The School Superintendent Assessment (SSA) consists of constructed-response questions designed to assess understanding of the ISLLC Standards with respect to the job responsibilities of superintendents. The three-hour assessment is divided into three one- hour sections:

Registration Bulletin:  The 2005-2006 School Leadership Series Information and Registration Bulletin is available from Educational Testing Service by visiting www.ets.org/sls and from the Student Support Center.

 

Registration Procedure:  Registration for the SLLA exam is available online or by paper/pencil.  To register online, visit www.ets.org/sls by the registration deadline.  To register by paper/pencil, complete and mail the registration application and test fee directly to Educational Testing Service in Princeton, NJ.  The registration deadline is a receipt deadline.

 

Standby Testing:  Standby testing may be available on the test date but is not guaranteed.  To be considered as a standby examinee, candidate MUST have a SLLA application completed, available, and the candidate presents an appropriate photo ID with signature, the candidate will be admitted to the test room.

Test Day Reminder Bring your admission ticket and an official / current photo ID with signature.  No food including gum and candy or drink is permitted in the test room.  All electronic equipment including cell phones, pagers, PDA s, etc., must be turned OFF and put away while in the test room.  For your comfort, we suggest you bring a sweater or light jacket as room temperature may vary.
