College Student Inventory

The College Student Inventory (CSI) is part of a Retention Management System (RMS) developed by Noel-Levitz.

The CSI is a part of our Early Warning System that we have adopted through the First Year Experience Initiative. As an institution it allows us to:

  • Assess student's needs and strengths
  • Identify students who may be at risk of leaving college
  • Recognize students motivational patterns
  • Use information to implement successful referrals and intervention programs
  • Enable advisors to have effective and rewarding contact with students early in the first term

The CSI is administered through the University Experience Class (MIDS 100) during the 2nd week of class. Reports are distributed during the 4th week to their advisor and to student.

The Coordinator will meet with the "High Risk" students during the 5th week of school and it is recommended that Advisor/Advisee conversations start during the 5th-6th week of classes.
