Dental Hygiene

The Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene requires a minimum of 90 credit hours, including the prerequisite courses. All dental hygiene courses must be completed in the prescribed sequence. Course grades of "C" or above in dental hygiene and supporting science courses are necessary for acceptance and retention in the dental hygiene program.

Successful Progress:
The dental hygiene program is a sequential course of study. Upon acceptance into the dental hygiene program, the student must maintain a grade of 75% of better in the laboratory sections and lecture courses in order to proceed to the the next dental hygiene course. Students who fail a laboratory section, will not be allowed to reapply to the program.
