The College of Arts and Sciences offers the most broad range of subjects of any of Missouri Southern's schools. Whether you want to delve into the world of Shakespeare or work in a lab, this is the school for you.

Departments range from English and theatre to social work and pre-engineering. The options are endless with 11 different departments covering more than 15 disciplines and more than 40 majors.

About Our School


No matter what degree you choose at Missouri Southern, you will cross paths with the College of Arts and Sciences. Our school provides the sturdy base that every degree is built on, as our knowledgeable faculty instructs the majority of general education classes.

After choosing a degree in one of our many departments, you will have plenty of opportunities for scholarly research, professional development and community involvement through our many student organizations.

Our school is home to Missouri Southern's International Studies Department. The international mission at Missouri Southern is nationally recognized, winning awards such as the Andrew Heiskell Award for Innovation in International Education. Most of our degree options require students to become proficient in a second language, making them valuable future-employees and members of society.
