Areas of Interest/Concentration: Fiction Writing, Technical Writing, Professional Writing (writing for non-profit and public service organizations), Composition for Teachers, and Creative Non-fiction.

Other Interests: Native American Literature, literature of the American Southwest (particularly Oklahoma), women regional writers, and Cultural Geography (particularly the effects of topography, geography, and meteorology on Oklahoma writers).

Professional Responsibilities: Director, MSSC Writing Program, 2002- ; Director, MSSC Writing Placement, 2002- ; Director of the Writing Internship program, the English/Philosophy alumni/student banquet, Earth Day Committee, Curriculum Committee, Writing Committee.

Professional Memberships: Modern Lanaguage Association, South Central Modern Lanaguage Association, Western American Literature Association, Women Writing the West.

Hobbies: Writing. No, seriously. Hiking, canoeing, classic rock, building things, and being an aunt.
